STORIES OF CHANGE

This is Laura Godts’ story: Master of Theological Studies Degree Program

Behind every scholarship, every classroom, and every moment of formation is a community of generous supporters. This story reflects how donor generosity helps prepare spiritual leaders who serve the Church and their communities for years to come.

Every Question Led Her Closer to Faith

Raised Catholic, she often wrestled with questions about her faith. A friendship with Sister Mary Frances at Brescia University College transformed her perspective. Through honest conversations, she discovered that faith welcomes questions and invites deeper understanding. Encouraged to continue her journey, she enrolled at St. Peter's Seminary.

The Seminary became a place of growth and discovery. After completing her teaching degree, she returned to earn a Master of Theological Studies while teaching full-time. Today, she inspires students to explore their faith and serves her parish by leading sacramental preparation and adult faith formation.

Her journey reminds us that St. Peter's Seminary forms not only future priests but also lay women and men who bring faith, knowledge, and compassion to schools, parishes, and communities. Thanks to the generosity of donors, stories like hers continue to inspire lives of service.
