Your Generosity Shapes Lives and Strengthens the Future of the Church

Every gift to St. Peter's Seminary Foundation is an investment in people. Through the generosity of faithful donors, the Seminary is able to educate, form, and support seminarians, permanent deacons, and lay students who are called to serve the Church with wisdom, compassion, and faith. Together, we are helping prepare the spiritual leaders who will accompany individuals, families, and communities through every season of life.

The impact of your generosity extends far beyond the Seminary's classrooms. It is reflected in every parish strengthened, every student inspired, every family comforted, every person cared for, and every community enriched by faithful leadership. Whether supporting student financial assistance, academic excellence, priestly formation, or the Seminary's highest priority needs, every gift helps ensure that St. Peter's Seminary continues its vital mission for generations to come.

Highest Priority Needs

Every gift to St. Peter’s Seminary through the Foundation strengthens the Seminary’s mission of forming faithful, compassionate and capable spiritual leaders. While donors may choose to support a specific area of interest, giving to the Seminary’s Highest Priority Needs ensures the most immediate needs are met.

Your investment helps remove barriers to formation, enrich the student experience, sustain academic excellence, and preserve the Seminary as a place where future generations will prepare to serve the Church and the world.

Together, these priorities ensure that those called to lead can answer that call with confidence, knowing they have the support of a community that believes in their future.

Bishop Fabbro Fund for Priestly Formation

In honour of Bishop Fabbro’s 24 years of service to the people of the Diocese of London, the Bishop Fabbro Fund for Priestly Formation provides flexible support where it is needed most to prepare future priests for lives of faithful ministry.

From formation programs and spiritual development to academic resources and pastoral experiences, this fund ensures seminarians receive the comprehensive education and formation needed to serve the Church with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. Every gift helps prepare spiritual leaders to accompany countless people throughout their lives.

Student Financial Aid

No one should be prevented from answering God's call because of financial circumstances. Student Financial Aid helps seminarians, permanent deacon candidates, and lay students pursue their formation without the burden of overwhelming financial hardship. Your generosity removes barriers, opens doors to opportunity, and enables future spiritual leaders to focus on their vocation and on preparation for a lifetime of service.

Chairs

Endowed Chairs strengthen the Seminary's academic excellence by supporting distinguished faculty who educate, mentor, and inspire future Church leaders. These positions ensure that students receive a rich theological education rooted in the Catholic tradition and engage thoughtfully with the challenges of today's world. An investment in academic leadership is an investment in generations of graduates who will teach, preach, and lead with confidence and wisdom.

Preserving Our Campus

The Seminary is more than a historic building—it is a place of prayer, learning, community, and formation. Support for the Physical Plant preserves and maintains the campus, ensuring students can continue to learn and grow in a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment. Caring for this remarkable home of formation safeguards a legacy that has served the Church since 1926 and will continue to serve future generations.

Father Frank Quinn

IMPACT STORY

A New Creation: The Unfolding Vocation of Father Frank Quinn

After a long and rewarding career as a Regional Director at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, he was ordained to the Priesthood on May 1, 2025 for the Archdiocese of Moncton.

For 42 years, Frank Quinn dedicated his life to a single noble calling: being husband to his beloved Helena and a devoted father. He likens their marriage to a new creation— “the two shall become one”—a bond so deep that her passing in 2019 left him feeling like a shell of his former self.

Being used to managing significant responsibilities, he now faced a quiet emptiness. In that emptiness, a gentle call grew. Attending Mass, he’d find himself thinking, “Who’s going to say Mass?” The hymn “I, the Lord of Sea and Sky” resonated deeply, and the prayer “Your will, not mine, Lord” became a recurring refrain. He paid attention. After discerning with his Bishop, guided by a Vocations Director and a spiritual director for more than a year, he arrived at St. Peter’s Seminary—trading a high-profile career for a classroom with peers the age of his grandchildren, supported wholeheartedly by the seminary’s faculty.

His journey was not without hardship. During Holy Week of 2024, he experienced a heart attack, collapsed days later, and spent a critical 40 days recovering at University Hospital—a period he viewed through the perspective of the Easter season. Throughout it all, his calling became stronger.

While in hospital in London, he asked a visiting priest, instead of spending time with him, to administer Viaticum to a struggling Italian couple nearby. The husband had been told that there was no hope of recovery. As was his nature, he prioritized their needs over his own.

On May 1, 2025, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Moncton. His chalice, a gift recast from diocesan archives, was presented to him through the Archbishop by Aracely, a dear friend from the seminary, symbolizing for him how God has woven the threads of his life into a sacred tapestry.

Now, as Associate Pastor for the Queen of All Saints Parish Grouping in New Brunswick, Father Quinn brings his lived experience to visiting the sick and supporting his community—a duty that comes naturally.

“We all have different roads,” he reflects. “This one wasn’t my plan. But I guess it was the plan.” Father Quinn’s late vocation reminds us that God’s call can transform a life already richly lived, planting our past experiences as seeds for a harvest of grace.
